The Southwell branch of the WEA is offering the following courses for adults in Rolleston Village Hall.  These course are open to anyone aged 16 or over. Pre-enrolment is necessary. Come along and try something new!

 

A beginner’s guide to the sky at night  

 

Enjoy learning about the sky in an informal atmosphere, and understand some of the basics of astronomy. Find out what celestial objects can be observed by the naked eye, binoculars and small telescopes. Discover how the earth and solar systems are part of the larger universe.

 

Free refreshments. Bring your own mug and packed lunch.

Nutrition and Healthy eating  

 

What is health? What is a balanced diet? How healthy are you? Do you have consistent energy, a clear mind and freedom from pain and infections? In this interactive course we will look at and discuss these issues covering areas such as energy balance and stress, digestion, heart health the immune system, mood and memory

 

Starts 2nd October 2008       6 meetings  Thursday 7 - 9 pm   

 

 

Landscape for Beginners.  

 

This course aims to increase awareness of the formal elements of drawing and painting such as form, proportion, scale, line, tone and colour. Develop your confidence and ability to explore and demonstrate your creative skills. Course fees do not include cost of materials.
